So I lost (To Z06) (LONG)
Day 2:
First session: I just wanted to set a time in the first session because I was planning to change tires in between session. If I didnt havea time I would have had to start at back of grid and therefore wouldnt have gotten a clean lap. 1:38
Second session: First time on MPSC, rears werent ready to hook yet, but I did manage to run a 1:36 on the second lap on them. Third lap got loose going 155 or so into turn 10, corrected, then got loose again, couldnt stop and ended up rolling into the gravel which didnt harm anything and sevred it's purpose really well. 4 wheels off in time trial means you are DQ'ed for the session, so I called it quits on that session.
Third session: Well this is where it gets interesting, our second session was at 12:45 with us not slated to run again until 4:10, however during one of the races, one guy ran into another car for no appearant reason and spilled going into turn 1 (very bad place to spill). Then a T1 vette blew a rear end going into ten leaving trans fluid going into turn 10 (yeah the one you enter going 160+) but luckily it was off line. It took 1.5 hours to clean and I deliberated staying and running and finally decided to stay and give the MPSC another go. Most people took off at this point because there was fluid clean up, and it was late and they had long drives to get home ( I live 5 minutes from track so no worries there)
The only problem was that in order to get all the groups in they combined them. They made us run with the instructors which isnt bad because they do it at some smaller track anyways. But they made us go by their rules which was point by only and defeated the purpose of trying to run a time trial. Since the group was small we (the front runners) bunch the group up on the back straight so we could get some clean laps. I was behind a Race Scion TC that ran a 1:36 earlier. Stuck on his tail for about a lap and a half (the MPSC's were coming in now big time) and before I tried to make a run to pass he pointed me by. Second lap ran a 1:36 then hit traffic, so our plan didnt work. I pulled into the pit to try and get some extra space, but the worker told me the group was way too spread out to get some good space. so I called it quits. Very long uneventful day.
Round 2 to the Z06 (he ran a 1:34.7 today), I won Round 1 in March.
So next march it's on!!!!!! I had the best time I have had on track this weekend though. We had 10 cars in time trial lapping between 133 and 1:36 which made for some interesting battles.

I did get invited to the Super Street Time Attack at Button Willow. I had the fastest time of all the people qualified to go (i think, the scion did run 1:36 earlier in the day but hadnt improved going into the last session, I was lapping much faster but left the session early) The reason it's important that he didnt beat me is that the winner gets 2k in travel expenses to go to the event. So looks like I probably got that.
Oh, my bad, I assumed everyone knew.
Arctic Silver 996 TT
Orton ECU
K24's
PSI loud exhaust
JIC Cross
By march
150-200 less lbs
Hoosier R6's
corner balance
Then it's on!!!!
If you have an ability to have someone dyno/roadtune your car...
From the rulebook:
A 50/50 mix would allow a significant increase in timing and/or boost. Your spool will be much improved and power...well, if you find a good tuner willing to work with you... should increase substantially.
Here's what my STI did after my water injection (66%meth/34%water) was dyno/road tuned on 93oct fuel, still on stock turbo/intercooler - came out to same as race-fuel tunes. The tune was not run to the edge, as this is a conservative roadtune... not a "dyno-number" tune or drag-tune.
Difference is from an 'off-the-shelf' Stage 2 tune from CobbTuning.
Numbers are at the wheel (or hub, as its a dynapack).

Needless to say, it's a different car to drive. I wonder what the increase would be for the TT?...it is legal for you, and I'd bet you could find at least 10% more power/torque for very reasonable cost...just need to find someone who can tune it for you.
Good luck,
TomK

I'm not really interested in more power, and if I was, I'm not big on Meth, I have seen the damage it can cause if it's not provided for the slightest period of time. I would rather get some hybrid turbos and call it a day.
Besides, at this point I dont need more power to go faster, I need less weight, a corner balance and better tires (some front downforce would help too). Alchy is a good cheap supplemental form of power, but I would never do that to my TT, or any car of mine for that matter. No offense, just not for me.
