How low to go?

I searched and found some info but would like to put this to the experts. My 993 was lowered before I got it, so I wasn't really involved in the process. My 996TT needs to go down from stock height. Would like feedback about how low you lowered your car and why. Any suggestions for best ride height for street and some DE's? How much actual distance is there from stock height to GT2 height?

If you drive 90% or more on the street, PSS9's are good and inexpensive. I did the PSS9's and I am very happy with the results. It is above GT2 height but slightly lower than X73 I believe. I already scrape the front lip occasionally, any lower and it would be worse. I couldn't stand the look of the stock height, and the car rides and handles great for the street. If you are looking for more of a track setup, then Motons are the way to go, and more $$.

I'm getting JICs put on later this month and I intend to go about an inch lower.....so about 1/4 inch higher than a GT2.

So are you saying there is 1.25 inches of difference from stock height to GT2 height? What would RS height be then?

I am getting JICs put on right now. Going for 1.5 inches lower. Got the new JICs with the improved sway bar mounts. Price is higher than PSS9s, but by all reports better, esp when lowering the car. Comes with front camber plates. Can't say yet how I'll like it, but can't wait to find out.

Just did mine, the best thing is that 90% of the options are adjustable coil overs so you can set it up to your liking. Its pretty easy to adjust them when they are on the car.

I just did the H&R - have it at the lowest setting in front and the rear is almost at the highest setting (much more adjustablility on the rear). I will test it out for a little before getting it realigned, if I want it lower or higher I can change it easiliy. You are welcome to take mine for a drive and see how you like it...

just got my jic cross overs....love em....i went 1 1/2'' lower than stock height and used the gt2 rack set up....i wish i had gone a little lower but thats ok because at only at 1 1/2'' im already scrapping my driveway if i dont come up at wide enough angle. I measured from the bottom of front end lip to ground.

Adjustments appear to be easy only keep in mind, when they are lowered or raised after the origianl install alignment, the car must be realigned....

There is a spec for the X-73 ride height,

this sits between the US standard ride height and the GT2 ride height,
this is what I have and I have no problems cornering or scraping.

Someone can elaborate perhaps?

Also, I have Cross/JIC suspension

I have a full spec sheet on a GT2 alignment which you should have done when it is corner balanced. I would go about 1.5" drop. JIC Cross is the best in my opinion.
