Yeah, it's a 10min job. Open the engine cover, take out the 4 screws there and the metal plate. Under the bumper on each side corner are 2 big torx screws. Under the direct rear next to the exhaust tips are phillips screws each side. Then in the wheel well each side is a ***** of a screw up under the bumper at the corner tip. If you take a phillips bit and an 8mm socket on a 1/4" drive ratchet, you can get it but it's a pain in the ***. Once they're out the bumper slides right off (don't forget to disconnect the electrical connection for the licence plate light).

While I haven't seen the 996TT IC hoses first hand, T-bolt clamps worked wonders for my other turbo cars. Usually NAPA carries a decent bunch of sizes.
