Wheel Polish Recommendation?

Just got a used set of BBS Race wheels and i'd like to polish the lips up a bit. I tried washing with soap and water and some of the stuff just wouldnt come off. Any suggestions? Thanks!

mambodave is infamous around these parts
If they are clear coated..... youll want to use a safe polshing compound for clear coat.

If they are bare alum.. you can wet sand (LOTS OF WATER) with 1000 grit paper, then polish with mothers and they will have mirror finish.

On polished aluminum wheels I have always had good luck with Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish. Just be sure not to use it on painted surfaces!

sorry to add more to the mix, but yes if they are clear coated wheels you can use a clear coat safe polish.

Here are some BBS Race wheels I did for a customer a couple of months ago..

Before Adam's Metal Polish 1 and 2

You can probably call BBS or the last owner.

You could also try polishing a small section if it pulls off oxidation and makes the applicator pad or towel black the wheel has no clear coat. (this is of course after the wheel is clean)
