I got a CPO 996TT warrently is about to expire, I call up a local Porsche dealer here in LA I was told that I'm able to get another extended warrenty for up to 4 years for couple of thousands.. so my questions is anyone here done it and how much did you guys pay for your warrenty and how long?

If I were going to get one, I'd only buy from a dealer.

Alot of shady companies out there.

 

The dealer is pretty much selling a third party warranty just like the shady companies!

I will agree the dealer has a bit more to loose, but if the company goes belly up rest assured the P dealer will say "wow, bad luck eh?"

I used www.warrantydirect.com for a Boxster. I heard/read many good things about them.

 

I bought a total shield warranty. It is offered by both BH porsche and Downtown L.A. Porsche. I paid about 2500 for a warranty plan that covers me up to 3 years or 86,000 miles which I bought from DTLA because they were a little cheaper than BH. The west coast rep for this company is named Brian his cell# is (562) 458-8197. I have spoken to him on a few occasions regarding waranty work on my car and each time he made sure my car was covered. If you tell him you are a 6speeder, he will take care of you.
