Thanks. It's been a pain in the rear. I did get roughly $1500 out of the guy so far and he's not bankrupt yet. Had to actually show up at his door last week to get some of the cash that was promised. Feels strange collecting debts driving in a 996TT. The guys standing there in front of his house with this do rag kinda thing on, putting oil in the truck, drinking malt liquor. No joke. It's amazing how things can go downhill for a guy in a hurry (one day he's got a decent business, the next day he's holding up a sign, will detail cars for malt liquor).

I finally did get my wheels from Peter at Wheel Experts (an honest, forthright guy I highly recommend). Only, now I can't get a matching set of tires! Different thread... It looks like next week I'll have correct tires front and rear (after Discount Tire put 285s on the rear by mistake, which I noticed a few hours later...).

Then there's the person on eBay who ripped me off by selling me a supposedly factory CD changer. Got a broken nonfactory unit. I'm starting to feel like driving a TT and living in a nice house is akin to putting a sign on my back saying "please steal from me". At this point, although I've only been ripped off twice in my life (both times within about 2 mos), I trust no one. I pay by VISA, or I don't buy it...

Color Change, I agree with you, but don't you think the generation your mentioned is as guilty as any... maybe even more so?
The products of FDR and entitlement is horrible with the older folks. You're right that they won't file bankruptcy, but they definitely on average have a major problem with a feeling of entitlement... maybe due not only to FDR, but also that they feel they're owed because of WWII, etc. (Prescription drugs is just one example)
AARP is all about entitlement!

Sales {ADT, sorry} at first then I went into the media monitoring sector. A week before I landed the contract I didn't even know what media monitoring was. Now I'm glad I do. I hope to own a self storage business and maybe a golf course. Ahhh, I'll probably wind up being a mailman or something. I'm 22 with no where to go!

Scott: I am in complete agreement with you! Yes personally they are much better than current generations like teutonictrio said, but as an entitlement group, they take the cake, ... literally, … my cake!

jcramair1: In the hope of smooth relations, I will let this issue lie with you as I now think you are on the “wrong†side in my book.

Racer63, very honorable way you handled that situation!

Color: The issue doesn't need to lie with me, I will let it lie with you since you started questions in regards to the "Deadbeats"

I think that Color is just upset becuase he like many other business owners including "myself" has lost money. Mostly becuase these same individuals have gone bankrupt.

Sorry jcramair1, I can't let it lie if you're going to try to speak for me, please don't do that again. I despise people who make it easier for others to shirk their responsibility. That is what I feel the current laws do, and to profit from that assistance in my views is despicable: not because I have lost money personally (and I have), and not because I (like all those honorable people who do pay their debts) end up paying for it, but because I feel it is morally and ethically wrong!

The sleeping dog is back asleep.

Color I don't understand how you think I was trying to speak for you. I was simply giving my opinion on why I beleive you are upset. Just as you have given your opinion about the Debt Management Industry. Trust me I don't want or need to speak on your behalf. Now let's move on to bigger and better things we are both business men.

When you say I think that Color is just upset because he like many other business owners including "myself" has lost money, you are guessing what I am thinking. I consider that "speaking for me" and on a serious issue, I don't like it, that's all. No problem here, jcramair1, if you want to know what I'm thinking in the future, just ask me.

Sorry for the hijack and quit trying to stir the pot you other guys.

Banking - Mortgage Lending . . . (have my fingers crossed that R/E market stays strong so I can pick up another toy by mid-year)
