Few Questions Regarding Suspension.
Hey Guys and Gals,
I am looking to lower the Turbo but for the first time in my life I am dreading changing the car as I love it stock. My question is this. How can I lower the car so the disgusting gap goes away yet I do not ruin the look of the car itself.
On my old C2 Cabrio I had Techart Springs and 19 Inch Formula's but I really think this car may just need to stay stock.
What springs do you guys recommend? Anybody with a set of used Techart Springs for the Turbo (996)? H+R?
Anything you guys recommend would be great. I have a feeling the car will end up getting the Techart wheels eventually but right now I am sticking to K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple Stupid)
If you guys have anything for sale drop me a line or a link.
Thanks,
Raymond. raymond@groupmediaci.com

If you planning to have 19 wheels, you really need to close the gap. H&R springs will lower your TT and give you the look. But in the long run, you will want coilover setup. My TT is running H&R coilover, I`m happy with it on the city road and some track days. Or you may also consider X73 set up.
What color is your TT? I`m also in Vancouver and there are quite alot of TT in the city!
PS if you want your car stay stock, don`t ever come back to 6speed

X73 is close to perfect, fantastic balance. If it were any lower it would be scraping everywhere.

Having driven Deepblue's car a fair amount, I would agree! The X73 is about as perfect as I've driven for a street car. Like riding on rails, and handles the roads very well (even the few really horrible roads around the Metro Denver area are not 'too' harsh)!
Here are some pics of my 01 turbo with X73 installed...excuse the basic pages, still a work in progress.
