Amazing what a header leak can do to your performance or lack thereof! Just picked up the car last night with the new replacement headers and she is running like a raped ape! Spinning all four tires in second gear and boosting at a much lower rpm. With the leaking headers it wasn't making good boost until 4k now it is hitting hard at 3k. I was also not getting full boost only 1.1 now 1.2 to 1.3.

I forgot how fast this GT700 package was until last night! Getting my MPSC's put on right now, then installing my harness bar and harnesses. Pour in VP MS109, shake and bam we have lift off!

Grattan here we come, I can't wait!

Any MAF problems...Yet.

 

The car has a total of 35,000 miles with about 15,000 miles on the GT700 kit. It was installed in January of 2006.

I did replace a MAF this past summer, my first one. That is when I switched to the Hitachi MAF.

 

Did the Hitachi MAF make more power..And just a ball park..What did the conversion cost? I know EVOMS = $$$$$$$$$$$ for anything.

 

The Hitachi MAF really helps in the upper RPM's and higher gears. Where the old MAF the power would flatten out now it just seems to keep pulling all the way to redline. A stock MAF is $600 and the Evoms was $850 I think it is a must have on a GT700.

 

I have a SG650 and I was just wondering if I could convert to that same MAF.

 

That I don't know you would probably have to talk to someone at Speed Gallery and Evoms.
