Some new toys on a 996TT X50 - PICS!

Just wanted to share this.... We had a local customer bring us this 2004 X50 with about 50,000 miles on it in virgin mod condition. Before we got underway with anything, we did a baseline on our Mustand AWD Dyno to see where the car sat. The car had a really bad stutter in the mid RPM as you can see on the dyno. This we believe to be the plugs fouling out so they were on the schedule to change. The car was strong making 380whp and 370tq.

So to start off the fun we gave him a full service with an oil change, fluid change, and new Iridium Spark plugs. After that was all cleaned up, we upgraded him to an Agency Power Exhaust System, then we added the Agency Power Red Boost Hoses, Agency Power FHose, and Forged Diverter Valves. After taking the car for a quick spin, we pulled it in the bay and removed the ECU to be sent off to Upsolute for a little upgrade action. The Upsolute should take the boost to 1.3bar and increase the power to 50hp and 60ft/lbs of torque. We should have this back on the dyno for the after results on Monday. Once our new intake is instock, the customer will have one too.

Stay tuned for more on the upgrades with additional pictures and video. You can see all the pictures here -

Thumbs up

This car is running VERY strong and sounds incredible! I cannot wait until we get the Upsolute in there. Stunning car, simply amazing. I am certain Allen (jabersauto.com) will be pleased.

Looking good. What kind of hp/tq gains are to be expected from the Agency Power Exhaust?

So we have the after numbers now with the mods. You can see a HUGE increase in torque and smoothed out the powerband. I thought the numbers were a little low over all, but looking at the before an after is the important part. The X50 exhaust supposedly flows good anyways, so there is not much to gain but noise with the exhaust. Overall a good result.

Bone Stock to Modified with Stock Air Box.

Modified with Stock Air Box to added Agency Power Cold Air Intake.

Exactly correct Nitro... The pull we did in 3rd gear and it hit 1.1, it could easily do 1.3bar. Gonna let the customer enjoy it then when he has time get him some more juice for free

I thought that stock K24's are spent at 1.2 and by over spinning the turbo to 1.3 would severly impact the life of the turbos???

1.3 is exceptable on the 24's. I run 1.0-1.1 on the K16's.

1,3 bar = 19,1 psi :-)

Im overboosting my K24's to 1,4 and setling at 1,25-1,3.
Ive had increase in power when ever Ive raised my boost levels so 1,2 is not their max capability.I guess if you run in hot ambient temps the intake temps could get a bit high which would cause powerloss, but thats also part of intercooler efficiency.
