Boost Gauge
Thanks!
I just ordered a small sheet of 4mm, took out the existing trim and traced them onto the sheet, eyeballing the gaps etc, and cut it with a fine-tooth hacksaw. Finished the edges and holes with a Dremmel first, then with a progression of sandpapers up to 1200 grit wetsand. I didn't want to clearcoat it (too glossy) and I think this finish fits with the interior well.
The screws are the ones which were in there holding the aircon unit in place - I need to get something better looking but haven't come across anything. You'll see that I relocated the aircon to the upper portion of the dash to make room for the gauges. I had to Dremmel out some of the plastic inner console to make it fit, this is not a straight swap. The screws were no longer needed and instead hold the plate in place with 1/4" cut 4mm vacuum tube spacers beneath.
These were first-fit pictures taken months ago, I'l try to take some pics tonight with the gauges lit up.
Good luck!

I have nav so that spot dosent work for me but looks great in your car (whats up with the steering
)
Nope, born and raised in the good ol' U S of A. Although this is home for the time being (no I didn't modify my steering with the Dremmel too).
I have NAV as well. I meant I relocated the aircon unit to the upper portion of the lower console - you can see it in the picture, it's where the ever so useful pocket used to be.

If you really want to add a boost gauge outside of the one in the on board computer I suggest getting one with a "peak and hold" function so you are not staring at the gauge trying to spot your peak boost.

I was born in Wisconsin but had dual citizenship when I was a kid (long, long ago
)because both my parents were from England. I now only enjoy US citizenship
thanks for the details. It's obvious you took some time and did it right.
I have Nav as well but my HVAC was already in the lower console area with the CD holder on top. I ripped out the guts of the CD holder to make a free, but slightly smaller Upper bin. So mine will just be the reverse of yours but the CF frame will have the same outer dimensions.
Is the CF the only structure holding the gauges? that's probably why you need the screws. I might just cut a second piece of plastic/acrylic or something and secure it and then add the CF on top with 2sided tape. No screws.

AEM is good but he will space restrictions where he wants to place it. I like the Defi with the chain link the best. I ran those because you can actually record the sweep and play it back. All the gauges on the chain will play back what you just did. For tuning it was great because you could go back and see what happened. They also have the gauges that are black then light up when on.
