Bay Area Work on Cars Day on Saturday...

http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1877

Bay Area folks should come and check this out. I've done this a few times and it's a lot of fun, I've learned a lot in terms of how to do stuff on my car and hence I figured I'd pass this on

Count me in!!!
I am just happy that there is a get together for Nor Cal owners. I think I was spoiled with local Viper club that has monthly dinner meetings and monthly social meetings.

Look forward to meeting some great people. My stereo, Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS, system is finally done too!
See you there with my Slate X50 Tip

Straight pipes or not, your car is LOUD!

What are the chances of your car still being clean?

Well I put on a coat of Rejex last night (how much/little are you supposed to apply)? And I was going to put on another coat today.. Leave it for 12 hours then right?

Just put on enough to cover the section with a haze. For second coats you only need to let it cure 8hrs.

Friday this week. Not sure if it's dinner though. I'm going to the Dealer with Robyn to look at the TTX50.

Stead in Walnut Creek! Join us Sharky...I might take her home! The darned thing has absorbed my thoughts for the last few days!

I might be able to make the work on cars day on Saturday. Not sure which car I will have. If I bring my C2...I'm leaving my straight pipes ON the car! Ya big chicken Alex!

Kirby - We ned to put together our monthly dinners and make it more "formal" (Like every third Thursday or something like it) and get some folks out to eat, drink, be merry and talk cars.

I would love to hear your stereo, 02TurboX50...sounds awesome.

Ah crap I'd love to make it up there. You're going to laugh... But my Rejex isn't dry and Joan is out with the Jag at a biz meeting Sodding hell. Why did I clean the car...

Just don't get pressured is all and between you and I, the X50, whilst great isn't worth the extra money that they might want to charge you over a non-X50. You can always be faste and less laggy with K16 hot sides. Even CJV uses those on his bad boys... And don't let them fool you on the "X50 has all this GT2 stuff so we're going to charge you a premium". The ICs are identical looking and size. 5% more efficient is BS... The strenghtened tranny is for the 6speed. I've yet to hear what/why and how it is different on the tip. The K24s do have more top end than the K16s and when chipped will make more horsepower since they flow more air but they are more laggy...

and if you do take it.. make sure you put your car back to stock in terms of some of the parts. Since it's yellow etc... you can put the same stuff in it as you had already... Except for that extra pedal lol..
