After getting to know some of my local Viper guys, I have much more appreciation
for these cars. A good friend of mine took a nice stock 1999 GTS Coupe and put
brakes, suspension, and a ROE Supercharger on it. It puts down 649 RWHP/699 TQ
and goes around Brainerd's track at 1:50.5 which is very fast. Very Capable cars if set
up right! This car you raced must be Naturally aspirated and modified with headers and such. The centrifical blowers on the Newer Vipers will produce 700's RWHP on stock
internals and when you strap a pair of turbos on them, forget it, they are KILLER FAST.

good job, I could never get over the fact that these cars have 8.0L motors or bigger and only putting out the hp they are from the factory...I know the new one is 600 hp but what was last years? 8.3L with 500 hp? hell my old cts-v had a 5.7L and made 400hp.

For me it seems like I'm just never driving the right car when the opportunity presents itself. This was a rare chance, I'm just happy the V-Guy wanted to play.
