996TT to M6 SMG Convertible

After much debate, I traded my '01 996TT last week for an M6 convertible. I want to thank all of you who provided me with advice on repairing/modding the TT.

Having only 100 miles in the M6, I expect that I will miss nimble agility of the TT. However, the creature comforts of the M6 are unsurpassed.

I will upload some pics later today.

Congats on the new car. I have both a 996 tt and an M6 cab for my daily driver.
These cars are totally different. The 996 tt as you all know is highly modifiable and an animal on the street or track.
The M6 is not easy to get more hp from but you can take the kids and the wife to dinner with the top down, and also have a machine that is powerful and fun to drive. The v10 at 8200 rpm sounds amazing. Overpasses and tunnels will take on new meaning.
I have several mods on mine and the one I would like to recommend is a new exhaust. While the stock mufflers sound great this mod will make you forget you have a stereo in the car!
The break in period is most painful. No 500hp mode until the first oil change.
After that enjoy the car!

Good luck with the M6. My neighbor has one and the sound is awesome. I couldn't live with the center console or the butt but I love to hear it drive by.

Thanks for the well wishes. The dealer, BMW of Riverside, gave me $43k for my TT trade <OUCH>. I am sure that I will miss the TT, but the M6 is a pretty good driving car. I cannot wait to unleash the 500hp. I have 1000 miles to go.

I have been trying to upload a few pics, without any luck. What is the best way to do this?

What the heck is that little red light on the rear view mirror? Enjoy the new car.
