Finally Brembo 2pc Rotors for 996TT Calipers

***Update*** September 2010 - We have these rotors on special so contact us immediately for purchase!

Ok track guys, they are finally available. Brembo has released the new 2pc rotors for the stock 996TT 4piston caliper. The 2pc rotor is the same diameter, 330mm, as the stock unit and available in drilled only to match the rear 1 piece rotors. The rotors are sold in pairs and feature the patented McLaren hardware that Brembo uses to offer a true FULLY floating design. These rotors are built to last from the same engineering department at Brembo that handles their OEM and racing division. With a set of stock replacement rotors costing about $700/pair, these rotors will last signifcantly longer to keep more in your pocket for fun. Better pad wear, 3lbs of rotational weight savings per corner, and backing of the Brembo name.

With the McLaren hardware setup, the rotor and hardware is the only consumable item on the disks. So when, if you ever do, need to replacement the rotors, you will retain the billet aluminum hat keeping replacement costs extremely low. Because of the McLaren hardware design, these rotors are GUARANTEED to last 2 times longer then the competition and much longer then the stock units. We suggest that an average track driver would probably see a good 1 year of use out of these rotors while a street car would probably see about 20-30K miles.

This is a great modification for those wanting to keep costs low but greatly improve the braking of their street or track cars. We recommend using Pagid or OEM pads with this rotor and for best performance, run steel braided brake lines with synthetic brake fluid.

Vivid Racing BOUGHT the entire first shipment from Brembo, so we have LOTS instock.

6Speed Price is $1495/pair SHIPPED. Get a Bottle of Brembo Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid and a F & R set of Agency Power Steel Braided Brake Lines with purchase FOR FREE.

Just an FYI...those are the ONLY sets in existence with the hard anodized hats.

It's such a VERY SEXY look.

Much better than the black anodize.

I want the front and rears to match...and I have to wear out my oem's...so fall is my time frame at present. Darn OEM's are quite good, to be honest.

These look great.

Once I buy them, how much to just replace the disk part (I assume the hat can be re-used...)? That is critical to me...so as to justify the purchase.

Anyway, these look to be a great track add-on. Thanks for sourcing them.

Yes, in the future you will only be replacing the outer cast iron disc. The aluminum mounting hat is not a consumable item and should very well last the lifetime of the vehicle.

The retail price per disc is $399.
These will last significantly longer than the OEM discs, which over time will make it a very cost effective solution.

Besides the weight savings and fully floating advantage of a 2pc. disc, Brembo's performance advantage comes from a superior metallurgy, manufacturing, and finishing.

tandujar - since you have a GT2 you will need the larger 350mm rotor that is used on the GT3 and GT2 with a 6piston caliper - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/b...t-p-58444.html
