A few new pics of the car....
A few new pics of the car....
I was scouting locations and jumped out to snap a few pics...why are the most interesting spots always the seediest? Being alone, I didnt stay long.....thoughts? Oh and a LOOOOONG time ago, I spoke with a bunch of guys about doing a photo shoot of their cars, well...the time is now, so PM me and we can setup dates!!!!!!

You are a brave man! That's a pretty deserted "not so friendly" part of town.
yeah, its why I was not there long.....I think its the 6th street bridge....during the day once, I actually drove down the tunnel to the LA river...not sure what I was thinking...I guess great photo op...well I never really though about the people LIVING in and around the tunnel....so I get my 996 to the edge of the LA river at the end of the tunnel and got out and was gonna shoot the car in the tunnel, just about to stat shooting, when I hear people behind me about 10 feet. Moans, groans, unintelligible words, sounded like about 2 or 3 guys, and I think..hmmm If I was in a bad way, and a shiny sports car showed up with a guy and a huge camera (D2x) and a bunch of LONG lenses alone, and I could get the drop on him, or he could be surrounded and outnumbered, what would I have to lose?...So I jumped back in the car to quickly leave, but its VERY narrow, so I had to SLOWLY back out...one homeless guy then shows up in my rear view, blocking my exit....well turns out he wants to help me not scratch my nice car on the side of the tunnel....nice guy. He was almost toast as I was going to punch it in reverse....The tunnel was about 50 yards long...lets just say, I will never do that again....

great shots!!!, Love the composition. thats the best thing about locating a photo shoot like this, you really never know what can happen, especially at nite and by yourself with all that gear. You have to be quick, detailed and get the adrenaline going at the same time.
very nice shots!
between first and fourth street there are less people on the street, and thus you can stay around a bit longer for a photo shoot. some nice graffiti backgrounds off of first and alameda, if you like that sort of thing.
