DE Incident Videos

I have 2 short vids that show some craziness from TWS this past weekend. It was freakin' hot! I think that had something to do with it. (I personally had brake fluid issues)
This will be my last August DE in Texas that's for sure!

Anyway, I'll leave the owner's of the cars nameless, but there are 2 videos.

The first is a 996 Cab (3.4l) blowing smoke, oil, and other fluids. What happened is not quite sure, but there are several theories including oil starvation because it follows a very long high G turn at about 90-100 mph.

Go to www.snjvogan.com/vids/smoke.wmv

The 2nd is a guy whose ABS failed on a 996 Turbo, so he locked up and slid off the track in front of me.

Let me know what you think.

Nice job of driving in the smoke. Not pretty - I'm waiting for something like that to happen

It's made by Hama. Not sure what it's called exactly.

Change of underpants?

I've just seen the vid of the brake lockup. So what did your adrenal gland do as you entered that smoke?

Rick, I don't wear underwear. I like going "commando". lol
Seriously, it didn't scare me too much. I was more scared of people coming in from behind me into the smoke and not seeing me, that's why was checking my mirrors so much. It was kinda scary that's for sure.

Jeru, no... I wasn't in the car following the one that smoked down that long straight. I got the tape from another driver so I could post it. I just have one little 996... nothing else.
