My New GT3 seats!

Austin, DEVEK, Everyone who participated in the group buy & Fedex Ground came through!!! WOW what a difference these seats make!!! I LOVE THEM! I plan on recovering the center pads with perforated leather to match my new steering wheel expected to arrive this week! I did run the seat belts through the bottom hole but I took these pictures before I made the change. The guy that was going to buy my seats has disappeared so I am putting them up on ebay tonight.

The seats look great. I have ordered them myself for my C4S, along with the Brey-Krause lowering brackets.

Did you find it changed the head or leg-room? Did you put them in yourself? Any problems with that or routing the seatbelts? I appologize in advance if these are stupid questions or have already been answered.

My car is in the shop getting the X73 suspension installed (and auto-dimming rearview mirrors). I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

eric, the end of the seat belt mounts to the new mounting bracket located on the seat bracket. i noticed from you pic it is still mounted to the car. i'm sure you know already, but i though i would double check. seats are incredible...

Eric S; the seats look great in your car!

Eric K; Although the seats come with hardware for that, many feel / think that the original bolt ot the car frame is a superior attachment point. However, since many seem to have TechQuipment rollbars, and those bolts (stock position) seem to cross-thread easily, it would be nice to put those bolts in a never touch them again when fiddling with the seats. So I can see advantages to bolting the seat belt to the seat as you suggest.

Doug,
actually i too left it bolted to the car, for the same reason's, i just thought recaro may have a good reason for bolting it to the bracket. i guess it is better to just follow common sense.

I thought they had that extra bolt there to cut down on the cost of production if the brackets are the same for both sides you would not need a left and a right / Driver/Pass. Does that make sense? I seems to be safer mounted in the factory location.

As for the feel of the seats.... WOW! is all I have to say. It will take a bit to get used to the upright angle you have to sit but the security these seats create is simply amazing! I took the car out on some good twisty roads and really got into it. I am very pleased with the change both look and feel.

Eric S - afer you've had the seats for a couple of weeks, can you report back to the board with your impressions of how comfortable they are for general driving around town? My car is a daily driver and I'm curious if those seats are good for the long haul to/from work every day...

thanks!

One thing I have learned to do is slide back on the rails when getting out of the car. (I am not 6FT) so It is difficult when getting out of the car. So I slide all the way back and it makes getting in and out a snap. Seriously it redefines the way the car drives. Many people have said this in the past about the seats (The other Eric) It makes you feel like you are a part of the. You can take a hard corner and you just feel nestled in the seat with only one place to go... where ever the car is going.
