Some more AS mods and one terrible one! :(

Good news and bad news. I installed AS defroster pieces; an AS fuse box cover and an AS passenger umbrella storage. Those were the OPTIONAL ones. The las one was mandatory a front license plate! It's the ugliest mod I ever put on, but I had no choice after a warning; a ticket and an inspection sticker refusal. While the others are tasteful, the front plate looks TERRIBLE! It blocks out the "911" emblem I put on. I may re-register the Cab in Florida where I only have to use a rear plate!
Good mods!

Nice looking!

TERRIBLE LOOK...butt ugly, ruins everything!

Nice Don!!
Quick : Is there noticeable glare from the front defroster now that it is silver?? I was thinking of sending mine to Germany with my PCM when I was getting the alu look but the guys at the exclusive shop advised me against it...I think it looks good

Take your front plate off....

Don,

Virginia requires front plates also. We have 5 vehicles, and a grand total of 1 has a front plate on it. I bought my 996 in Feb 2000 and as of today it has never had a front plate and I've never gotten a ticket, warning, etc.

Consider how much $$ you spend on mods -- who gives a frig if you get a $100 fine one day for not having your front plate! Consider it the cost of a mod!!

Just put it back on when you take it for your state inspection. Since its not a moving violation it wont affect your insurance. Just pay the fines and enjoy looking at the front end of your car!

No, no glare at all from the AS defroster pieces. It breaks up the one color expanse nicely. It's hard to get the real effect in a pic because of windshield glare, but it really looks nice. I got an AS rosette as well but decided to leave the Met Blue on on for contrast.

CS, Yeah, I'm going to take it off after I get the annual inspection. Then I'm going to register it in FL with a MISTY plate. Screw MA and the excise tax!

Why not just put the plate inside by the windshield? I'm pretty sure you can do that unless the cop is really ****.
