That's got to be staged....each time this little Rabbit comes out of nowwhere? I'd suspect you'll find Alice in Wonderland lurking in the shadows.

 

I'm no big street racer....but it always gets me when people have no street racing etiquette...come on man...honk three times and go...whats with the finger pointing

 

thats sooo old, but its true... Rabbits Kick *** they weight like 123 KG lol and if you put a 1.8T or a VR6T in there boy your fast

What happened to downshifting to launch?

 

Looks fake to me. Those cars don't even seem to be pushing it judging by engine noise and also there's no jerk from slamming on the gas to launch. Wayyyy too smooth of an acceleration by both cars.

 

indeed that rabbit is brutal ... its a frenech car club . the rabbit is smoking GT2's rs4's and more. ill see if i can dig the vid up.

thats a good point...as light as that car is, with a couple thousand it could be really fast.

 

had to go back and watch it again, your right...
but you never know. at such high speeds you don't tend to shift often.

Wow, So thats whats going on. A few months ago a rabbit was signing me to race I kind of gave him a little smerk and then pushed it to kind of show him off, all of a sudden he took off like a bat out of hell, saw him again on the off ramp and he blew me away again Learned a big lesson that day not to **** with sleepers.

 

Just figured I would chime in, I have a MKII which isnt all that much more in weight than a MKI Rabbit. and I have a VR6T and you can check my sig. it makes some nasty power and at just under 2200lbs with drive and a tank of gas... I have and will continue to hurt the feelings of supra owners across the DC/Metro area ;-)

I use to own a 2000 New Beetle 1.8T with BT Set-Up and N/A 996's, Ferrari 360 and Aston Martin's and ETC's use to wonder what just happend... Now my 4-Banger with 5-speed only went up to 250 KMPH after that id get passed but untill then i had the laugh. It was'nt all that fast, i made about 364Hp and 434 TQ @ 28 PSI (Daily Driver)... But some of the VR6 with Turbo's or Any VR6 with a Turbo, you would not want to Screw around with...

I should have not sold my bug i miss that thing sometimes...
