Does anyone know if the Sport Seats For the 996 were available with the heated seat option. I want the Sport Seats buti dont wantto give up the heat. I am not talking about the recaro racing seats porsche offered i am refering to the leather porsche sport seat option.

I believe they do, but they are hard to come by.

 

I own a 2001 with the sports seat option, super seats but no electric heat, and from the info I know it was not available with heat.
Porsche engineers knew that the design of the seat, coupled with the car, would give of tremendous amounts of heat, no electricity required.
I wish AC seats were available with them.

 

i've never heard of sport seats with heat... i have a mint sent with arctic silver backs fs too, they do have full power

 

I saw you sport seats...my car is artic silver...they are awsome...trying to decide if i want them...Its all about the heat...

I wish the made sport seats with heat...or A/C for that matter...

 

My TT has the sports seats and yes, they are heated....

 

just have a chick warm them up before driving

You guys are awsome...im looking for soprt seats that are heated if anyone knows if there are some for sale...if not i will pick up the ones on 6speed that are not heated

 

I had a 2003 996 C2 with heated sport seats. It was a factory option in 2003.

 

isn't the harness different? if your car didn't come with heated seats, ur harness won't have the leads for heating. that's what i heard. if your std seats are heated, u may be okay....

 

I added the heated seats to my standard seats by replacing the foam cushions and adding the switches, relays and wiring. 6+ hours and about $700 DIY. look at Dennisvogel.com, in the Boxster section he has instructions with pics, etc. Small difference in the switch location for a 996. You can get the sport seat foam cushions and do a set of sprot seats.

 

Heated sport seats were available in 2002 as well.
