B&M SHIFTER FOR 996 PRICEs

Hey guys i was talking to a local shop that i know, they told me that they can get B&M shifter parts for us..

here are their prices

996 short shifter kit, (actual shifter replacement) part# 45135 = 240.00 in CA plus tax

and teh

undercar 996type S shifter kit - part # 45182 = $168.00 plus tax in Ca.

is this a good price if you are interested

please call Lisa at island motorsports 714-522-7457, they specialize on japanese car, but they can get B&m parts.... please tell them that joseph sent you and tell them the part number that you need..

FYI--the part number listed above for the under car kit is not for a C2 (I believe it's for a Boxster). I have the B&M under car kit installed in my '04 C2, and was originally shipped part number 45182, but the correct part number is 45183. It wasn't until it was almost fully installed that we realized it was the wrong part. In the pic below, the left side is the correct part (45183) and the right side is the incorrect part. You can see how the blue part in the right pic is bent to the right at the bottom and therefore doesn't engage the silver ball pin sticking out, but the one on the left is straight and fits properly. We ended up calling B&M who confirmed it was the wrong part and shipped me the correct one.

Brandywine, which is a board sponsor sells the in car unit for $199 on eBay. Got mine from them.

I will have a used 6 Months B&M in car SSH available in two weeks $175 shipped... I will put this in the For Sale section too. It will come with all the necssary parts. I have since found a good deal on an OEM Black SS.

Isn't that the one that Akkurat PGI fixed up for you?

Sandoval, where can one buy the OEM SSK? I have been looking around for prices but no luck as yet. Also if you dont mind me asking how much?

I got it on ebay for... $152 from a private party. You can get good deals every now and then
