Unhappy My 996 is slow

I had a chance over lunch today to drive my buddies 2008 MB E63 sedan. Sweet Baby Jesus that thing is fast. 0-60 in 4.2 sec. It was like playing a video game. I guess I just have to take consolation in my cars styling and racing heritage.

507 HP and $91K price tag. I'm not really that surprised, its more a matter of a 4035 lb. sedan that puts my sports car to shame.

It still won't get the same looks as your little old C2. And it wouldn't feel the same in the twistees. At least I hope it wouldn't!

E63 maybe fast but it'll feel like a boat around corners like M5. Z06 may be fast all around but it'll always be a vette - a bang for the buck high performer.

The Benz may smoked the Porsche on straight away but when it come to fast corner, twisty road it's a Peterbilt and we can all know that we can pass by EZ.

I had seen M5 struggling on the track with too much weight and torque can't even come close to a Boxster.

It's not only about the hp, I didn't buy a 911 for that.

Exactly....every time I pull into a dealership to shop cars....for fun...I get immediate service, coffee and am allowed to take nearly anything out on the freeway...

The guy in the bimmer doesnt always get that service...I really under-estimated the prestige.....
