GT3 Body Parts

After my last Thread, I have decided to go with the GT3 Front Bumper GT3 Side Skirts. I am still deciding on the wing either Taco or Misha....

My Question is, there appears to be a difference between the older and newer GT3 Aero Packages. Where do i get The ones pictured Below...

Can anyone help on this matter...

The Photo is of the Bumper and skirts i like...the older ones seem more rounded.

Porsche dealer.....I got my GT3 skirts from Brandywine....I think they were $599 for the set. I would be VERY careful not to get aftermarket....They are probably fiberglass and they require more prep work (costing you more money to get a good result) and they will eventually start to warp and ripple....so dont cheap out on the body parts....I learned my lesson with my first rear bumper...got the Turbo "Look" bumper....it was rippling before I got hit...the body shop said they would charge me more for prep, and they wouldnt guarantee the results. I switched to the real thing and its sooooo much better.

I would be very leary of buying parts from a Porsche supplier that couldnt spell 'Boxster"....They are also in Hong Kong....I am sure shipping will kill you...and if you have an issue.....what do you do?

David, the older ones (99-01..Taco Tail)are the MK1 GT3 aerokit. The later ones (02-04..biplane tail) are the MKII GT3 aerokit. I just bought the OEM taco tail from a fellow Rennlist member and the OEM MkI bumper from LA Porsche Dismantlers. I personally haven't seen a GT3 tail on a cab. You really caught the mod bug. Good Luck. You Posted the MKII. I think the rear bumpers are the same.

Since I am going to eventually add the MKII bumper and possibly wing to my car I have been doing research on this. There are some threads on this topic. Suncoast has the OEM bumper for $1,395 with occasional sales of 10% off. MA Shaw has a replica wing for $1,375 or the OEM for $2,875.

MKI kits are much easier to find than MKII.

You should try to find a pic of a cab that has the GT3 wing. Like said above, I don't think I've ever seen that. I'm not sure how it would look.

Thanks Guys as Always 6speeders are awesome!! Finally figured out the different aero packages.

I will be looking for a pic of the Taco wing on a cabrio....

Going with the MK2 setup for the body wing is still up in the air....

Whatever wing you get *if GT3* should match the body kit style. Don't mix and match MKI and MKII, it will look weird.

Im planning on it...I have to find out if the OEM GT3 MKII biplane wing will fit on a cabrio, or rather if the clamshell for the roof will clear it.

Has anyone Done this???? GT3 MKII wing on a cabrio??

I think you need to check with the clearance on a cabrio top with the full aero wings. That's why they made the smaller AERO wing for cabs.

I could be wrong on this but I remember reading something to that effect.
