Thank you for the compliments. It is one of 164 low grill 2.8L ever built. She wanted one since she was a little girl so I gave it to her for her 40th birthday. After replacing all of the suspension bushings and steering box it drives like new. It really is from a different time but still drives very much like a modern car. Here are a few more pics...

yeah somehow it just doesnt look right. plus my girl likes my e55 a lot more. i made the mistake of teaching her how to take the stability control off of the beast and smoke my damn tires.

but dont get me wrong a hot girl in a fast car is sexy. my ex had a m6 and wanted to race everyone!

Nice ride.

Wife is allowed to drive the Porsche, hence a tiptronic. Otherwise, it would have been a 6speed turbo

Although she now has her Dad's 66'tbird now!

My wife can drive my car any time she wants, but since I bought her a convertible mustang she really doesnt want to. I'm okay either way. I've got insurance and in most cases, I'd be the one doing something stupid, not her.

I let my friends drive my car. It's just a car, and I like that after they drive it they appreciate it as much as I do. Sometimes people just don't get why you're so into a car until you let them try it.

My BF won't let me drive his car and it drives me nuts. It's the principle of the matter.

"In the end it's just a car." Yes it is. Various metals and composites all strewn together that, to some degree have a resale value. The diminution of which is predicated upon condition. How much is a wrecked P car worth after it's fixed? Less. How much less? A lot. Not letting my girl drive my cars is a wise business decision as the responsibility of preserving their value rests solely on the owner - me. I can live with that. Because in the end, she's just a women. You want to drive a Porsche? Go buy one.

I'm guessing your not married. Yep, it's just a car. FWIW, my wife is a decent driver. The risk of diminished value should she have an incident with the vehicle just doesn't matter when compared to her enjoying the P car. Life is to effing short. To think otherwise is just ridiculous.

Haha!! Been married - twice. The thought process is never the same after it's over. Hopefully, you don't get to experience that, and your level of cynicism will never equal mine; where the value of the car outweighs her enjoyment of it. I would genuinely relish looking across at my mate and not having ridiculous thoughts

Divorce sucks, been there as well.

I hope you find that relationship in which you will both enjoy that Gembala...with no external financial concerns. It's just a car...it's only money.
