Thumbs up New paint job.

Here are some photos I took last week at Santana Row, CA.
My friends David’s (Reborn996) finally got his 996 from the body shop, with new paint job, new side skirts & new wheels. His next mod will be Super Charger. I think it's going to be a Hot 996 around?

Nope.... it will be the most painful 30-day wait of my life! I think I already have one small chip in the front already!

But the plans are for Premier to do a custom clear bra once the paint is ready.

Thanks again for the great pics Tony!

I heard clear bra on dark colors is not the best....I was going to do it on my new front and was talked out of it....I could have gotten bad info, although my sources are pretty darn good, but I would check into that first.

I am not sure who told you that, I think they are wrong. I also have a black car with clear bar install by Premier, you can't even tell. If I didn't told you I have clear bar install, you have to look very hard to see it. It's also depended who's doing the installation & what type of film they used. Most of my friends have problem with the clear bar is 3M film (they would change yellow too).

I have a clear bra on my escalade as well as my 996. Both cars are black and you can not see it unless you are right up on it. I have 0 paint chips also. I think they are well worth the money.

Thanks guys! As for the clear bra, since it only took 2 days to get a rock chip with my new paint job you can guess which way I am going!!! My commute from Tracy to the Bay Area is about 60 miles of hell and I do like taking the Porsche a few days a week on the sunny days. Without a clear bra my friend end would look aweful after just a few weeks I am sure.

Tony recommended Premier to me so I have an appointment set up to get it done once the paint is cured.

Jason, yep those are the forgelines! I was an Iforged customer when I had my Audi but the quality of the Forgeline wheels is better in my opinion... plus they are a true 3-piece wheel and you can actually order replacement parts to rebuild a wheel from their website...try doing that with Iforged - NOT! Hey, noticed you were in Brentwood just down the road from me. We should meet up sometime.

David
