yes same intake for all 996 and 997 models.

Only thing is with with mine a had to relocate the air pump with the bracket they send you. I don't think you have to do that with a 3.4l

Installation is exactly the same but the shape of the airbox is slightly different since there is a relief in the bottom so it can rest on the body of the car.

Yes it will... I just installed one of these taken straight out of a 997 C2S and into my car which was a 1999 car but with a 3.6 in it.

so they're all interchangable...strange...when i sent one for a 996 to a guy, he was saying that 997 and 997S didn't fit the same. maybe he didn't know how to put it on himself.

Yeah, I was skeptical at first because I did a search here and on RL that told me they don't fit and people had returned them. My seller assured me it fit as he had checked with EVOMS and put it in a 996 himself. Went right in to my car. No issues. 5mins max if you stop to scratch.

excellent..that means i now have 3 thing to put on the car come summertime!
bahahha weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i'm trying to make my car as angry and vicious sounding as possible, without going back to bypass pipes...for "bacon" related reasons

Mething intake, plenum, headers, cat deletes, and maxflo mufflers should do it

I installed a EVO CAI that came off a 997s on my 3.4 996. It fit perfect. I had to order a $15 mounting bracket from EVO because the mounting bracket for the airbox is slightly different.

The 997 box that i accidently installed on my car rubbed against the pulley...

I called evo and they confirmed it was a 997 airbox and i returned it.

Mysterious
