can stock 996 seats be modified?

Either because of the shape of the seat, or the shape of my butt, I have a very uncomfortable pressue spot on the outside of my right thigh when I drive , Can the padding or metal frame be adjusted?

(I do not want to spend the money to upgrade to sports seats, especially power sports seat)

thanks

The seat backs are the only difference on the sport seat.

I have *exactly* the same problem. I wonder if the supple leather seats are any different?

solution?

longhorn 911, I think I found a solution

!) remove the 4 bolts holding seat down
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ht=remove+seat

2) tilt seat backwards (do not unplug any thing)

3) under the seat you will see a brown "net", insert a small mat under the right side (between the net and the seat), I used a 2 inch by about 6 inch piece of rubber carpet liner

4) this raises the base of the seat just enough to remove the pressure point for me, hope it helps you
