Shift Light?

Has anyone mounted a shift light into a 996/997? If so, which one? Removable would be a great option too so I can take it out after a track day.

i don't think many have. the 996 has a little shift warning light on the tach.
any of the standard autometer lights will work, just velcro it to the dash or clip it to your steering wheel or something and take it off after.

low tech removable solution.

I have wondered what that was but I swear it has never lit up when I bounce the rev limiter. Am I having a tard moment? or perhaps my bulb is out

Seriously, yours lights up?

I hit the rev limiter a lot when I first started tracking. No light as far as I could tell. I have a 99 c2. Is this something that could have been introduced in later years?

sounds like it might have been an option that came with the white gauge upgrade to me, but then I could be wrong.
