+1.
Left 2 voice mail messages with the part # and no return phone call. Pretty bad customer service. Don't know too many businesses that don't want my $$.

Took Ben's advice, and ordered from Phil Coy in Oregon. $106.01 + $5 to ship. Can't beat it!

Is this the product?

Near the bottom it shows:
"This will fit a 2001-2004.5 Carrera 996 (except Targa)."

So ... it only works for 2001-2004.5 996's?

It even says:
"The Design key is only available for keys with two-buttons (central locking system and front trunk lid)"

but then again someone on here said it also works for '99-'00 even though the key is different, it's 1 button.

So which is true? I have a 2000 C2 Cab and the key mod looks awesome but I don't want to buy it and realize I can't use it ..

99 C2. I did this mod a couple years ago with the GT key. (911 key was not avail yet). I used the entire key and had the dealer program it, only one button functions (doorlocks).
range increased dramatically.

My car has only one key and the remote stopped working.

Can I order the 911 key with the internal? or the internals separately?

I would like to use the old key as a spare, so I will purchase a new blank blade.

Thanks,
Danny M

You have to order a regular key head remote in addition to the 911 remote head cover. The 911 remote head is a plastic cover only. Some GT3 remote heads come with the internals, depending on where you order, and it costs a little more.

i hope this helps!

Interesting- I did not know that and never put any glue on it. No problems after a year of use.

Key still looks good! Love that flashing "911"

I was at Porsche yesterday for a warranty issue and everyone there commented on the key, they'd never seen it before and loved it...
