The only thing that you have to be very careful is the glass with the transmitter inside your old key. the rest, even a monkey like me can do it! ; ) but you can PM if you need help...

I think that I am going to design a slightly better one. A HP LED light built in and switch blade key. Any one interested?

How much to program a key? Mine is shot, ran it through the wash. Red light blinks but nothing.

Clearly in the minority hear, if not standing completely alone. But spend $100 just to get a different looking key? I'll pass on this one.

Yeah overpriced I know, but surprisingly it is one of the best "mods" i've purchased.

I bought my car used, so the original key was trashed outside...

My key is garbage. $100 is steep IMO but the key i have now is so ugly its worth it.

just had mine done,
new key head came with internals though i wasnt expecting this. i had planned on just swapping the insides from my rather sorry looking and only key for the car but took the bull by the horns and had my dealer program this to give me a spare instead.
cost worked out at $130. this included half an hour labour and cost for cutting a new key blank. was able to just get it done immediately.
i now have a nice new key, the original as a functioning spare and still some disbelief that the whole endevour nearly came to $300 to do.
still the new key looks great and functions much better and that $300 will disappear the first moment i misplace a key, even temporarily which given the state of my memory will be rather shortly i suspect
