Airbox upgrade?

Hello,
This question might have been asked many times before but I gotta ask it again. I know a simple cold air intake wouldn't add any horsepower to the 996. However, is it possible to get the Porsche Motorsport 996 intake? Does anyone actually has one? How is the installation process? Thanks for any information!

Welcome Stanmo
I came out of a C5 Corvette into my Porsche I am having a blast with this car
Anyway, i upgraded to the EVO cold air intake system,I really like the sound difference and I am also convinced after having it in the car for a few months now that the throttle response is improved. Have a look at EVO's setup before you make your move..Good Luck

why oh why is the silencer still there!!!!! use a regular elbow!!! I just took the screens out ala the fabspeed kit and I used a 2" expansion plumming stop plug to use to plug that hose that links to the silencer as I removed the silencer to give more air to my bmc. I can't believe how insanely different the intake sounds now without that silencer!!!! It has ***** now from the intake!
