Asanti 19x10.5 and 19x9
Asanti 19x10.5 and 19x9
These came on my 996 when I recently purchased, and I need to do something with them. The wheels are in great condition, and are not cheap at all, but I fear the 911 market is not the right place. Two questions:
1) Are there any other cars out there with the same bolt pattern and similar offset?
2) Has anyone ever taken a three piece wheel apart for powdercoating? I think I can appreciate the wheel a lot more if the spokes were black.

It looks like they can be taken apart without a problem, but is it worth the hassle? It seems like they would be much heavier than stock.

I don't think you'll find another car with the same bolt pattern (5X130mm) and offsets. They should actually be lighter. That is a forged center.
They can be disassembled, but should be put back together by someone who knows what they are doing. The bolts all need to be replaced. Your best bet is to send them back to Asanti/Lexani and let them paint the centers for you. Call 800.833.9700

I appreciate it mathism. I really like the quality of the wheel, just hate the finish. I do not like chrome on anything, so I need to investigate my options. I have one tire that it almost gone, I suppose the other rear was replaced. This tire alone costs 500 and before I spend it, I need to figure out if the wheels are worth keeping. I will probably try to dump them and replace with something already black.... I will keep you all updated.

I would compare the quality to the best out there. The detail and finish is amazing. Even the little bolts behind the wheel hidden to the eye are engraved "Asanti." The grooves are consistant, the chrome is perfect, the three pieces match up with 0 lip/overhang.
The quality is there, it is just not my cup of tea. Obviously yours neither

I would say Asanti wheels are comparable to Giovanni or whatever rappers are putting on their SUVs.

I'm not sure what metric you use to gauge quality. If it includes the materials, manufacturing process, craftsmanship and final finish then Asanti's would certainly be considered a top quality wheel. That's the basis for my opinion. They are made along side Kinesis and are every bit as good of quality as HRE or Champions. Most Asanti's wind up on Bentley's, Lambo's, Ferrari's, BMW's, Mercedes and even... Porsche's.
pls i've seen these wheels up close... check the bolts and compare it to an OZ three piece wheel it's a damn shame
"asanti rims wit pirellis on the tires they said 22s wouldn't fit but they lyin'"

I'd have to agree. I have seen Asanti wheels in person and from the close glance, they look far inferior than my old Fikses. Maybe its the chrome but it sure does look cheap.
