that could sell springs and match shocks for my 01 c4 with aerokit. I don't like the Gap between the fenders and wheel and also if possible i like to use spacers.

Would it be wise to use spacers to push the wheels out a bit so it is fluch with fenders.

Thanks for the answers to my questions.

X74 factory setup will bring you down to GT3 spec, I know many members here with this setup are happy with it, as for everyday use, this kit does not produce a harsh ride.

If you don't mind make a trip to West LA, I strongly recommend Lucent Motors. Great people and service!

Here's X74 ride height.

x74 is for '02 and newer....He'll need either the coilover setup, or shocks/springs. It depends on his budget. Andial is the only place I know of in the OC...not the best on prices though. Arling at Lucent is in LA...Better prices, great guy...

Lucent set up my 2003 C2 Cab last week with the Blisten PSS9 setup. Car has transformed into a different animal! Lucent is the place to go if you're in the Los Angeles area. Here's a pic of the ride after the install.

Good luck!

You're looking at somewhere in the low to mid $3K range for the PSS9 installed with 4 wheel laser alignment. Lucent can order and install the PSS9's for you and also includes 2 sessions of the 4 wheel alignment, one right after they do the install and then a 2nd after a the car has a chance to settle.

It's not cheap but then neither is your Porsche!!

Nah...the PSS9 is not that expensive. You can do it all installed for like $2400-$2500.

Go to lucent...

I live in "OC" - Irvine in particular - approximately 51 miles from Lucent.

I recently had my 996C2 lowered at Lucent w/Tech Art springs...came up on a Monday, Arling & Tom were nice enough to take a last minute install - was out within a few hours after getting some great knowledge from Tom about the factors of alignment. The next day I noticed a little noise in the upper front strut - one call to Arling at Lucent, NO PROBLEM - "Come over after traffic and we'll take a look at it again, we don't want you having any issues" - what kind of shop would stay open late so I can miss traffic from OC to LA? Not to mention having a great bunch of enthusiasts hanging out each night...

Nobody locally can match the service, price, knowledge or friendliness of this shop - Lucent is the shop that I trust with my personal car (and believe me, I've been to a lot) and has been by far the best Porsche specific shop that I've personally done business with.

I'd drive three times as far to feel as comfortable as I do with Lucent - Yellowbmr, it's worth the drive.

Arling - save a spot for me in the next month or so - if my car doesn't settle enough, I'll be back for coilovers LOL.

tuningworks...you are in Irvine..so am I! Drop me a PM sometime so we can do lunch or dinner and shoot the breeze! I love the magazine!

As far as one stop shops go, I make the drive to Lucent and always seem to leave with a smile on my face. I've had the PSS9's, TechArt 19 GT's, and Europipe installed there (and purchased there). Arling is a class act. I have much respect for that man. Tom is an expert in the field. I trust him implicitly with my car (and I love my car). I'd recommend them to you.

Since you are in OC, let me know if you want to attend the Fleming's meet/run/dinner on July 31.

Take care.

Thanks for the compliment on the mag!

We'll definitely have to get the OC guys together for some lunch @ the marketplace!

i agree Lucent Motors is where it's at for you. i mean who else puts on coilovers for your driving specifications, meaning the amount of TOW, camber in front and camber in the rear and a double alignment, once when installed and another after the coils settles.
