bought them more for looks, definitely. if you notice on your 996 the wheels are set back in the fender wells a bit, from what I recall reading online (don't know how accurate it is) this is to provide clearance for snow chains. I don't plan on using snow chains

Widening the track does help handling a bit, but i'm sure any benefit there is nominal.

Is it the 60mm bolts u used?

good looking car...and welcome...definately suggest pelican parts and suncoast...suncoast is great i used them for my clear side markers

If you put 15mm spacers on, you have to get 15mm bolts that are longer than stock. Nice ride!, welcome to the 6
