Its more of a personal thing, I like maintaining things and keeping them clean and I tend to wash my cone filter twice a month cause I always see it. With the FIPK, the filter is more exposed than the OE filter.

Mine took around 2.5 hours. The instructions are not that good and there are so many little nuts and such, the diagram is not very pleasent to read. Putting the finished product in took 10 mins. This is with no beer breaks.......only chicken breast breaks.

I did the evo in about 1 hour and could tell a huge difference! The howl is awesome with the Plenum. I have not had any Maf problems. I went with the evo cause a guy at my Porsche dealer sold it to me for 400.00 so I couldn't pass it up. Next stop will be a Super Charger.

How late into 996 models??

*What year did they start to change the design on the 996's? Would my 2003 be classified as the before or after modification? Thanks..
