Problem with locking car

Hi all,

I have a big problem with my 996. I had my bumper and hood resprayed and now, when I lock the car, the alarm horn is beeping once and the inner lightning is going on. I know that is often, when you leave something open, but I checked everything and all doors and consoles are closed. Had you simmilar problems or should I bring the car to Porsche dealer?

Thanks in advance,
Kras

dealer can hook up the tester and probably see which alarm sensor is causing the fault.

something must have happened with the hood.....they disconnected a wire to the latch or something so the car still thinks it is open every time you lock it

possibly- but you do not have to go near any wires for the hood latch switch when removing the bumper or hood.

Yes, I also thought about hood too. But if something would be open, board computer would signalise this. Any other idea?

Thanks in advance,
Kras

Pop your hood open, you will see a rubber strip that runs between the headlights, remove and you should find a harness that has been left unpluged by the body shop. Good luck.
