New SpeedArt mufflers/sound clip

Just got doen installing a set of SpeedArt mufflers w/my son

They are 7 lbs lighter per muffler, made in Deutschland. Fit and finish is excellent, they look just like stock but polished, better welds.
I will let the short before/after sound clip tell the rest.
BTW it's on a 01 3.4L

Cool, thanks for a good video of it. That stock exhaust sounds so soft after listening to the SpeedArt

Thank you all for the nice compliments!

They were far better than I imagined, very refined/exotic sound, fantastic inside the cab as well (not so loud, quiet at cruising speed).

I bought them from GMP Performance for $1350 shipped while they were having a VERY good sale on them. They are now priced back to $2000 + shipping. Other sites have them as low as approx $1750
The sale just ended about a week ago.
If anybody is interested I can disclose more info on who I dealt with and maybe he can offer/extend the sale price (?)
Not affiliated in any way.

Thanks again

Yes, please let me know. It would be perfect timing as I recently installed a K&N intake.

I would appreciate it immensely.

Also, how was the install process? Did you weld the tips yourself?

I lifted the rear, one side at a time, to give enough clearence to remove the stock muffler and install the SpeedArt. The whole job took about 4 hrs. I reused the stock tips and stock clamps on mine. Check the condition of yours (might need new clamps).
No welding in any of this stock or aftermarket.
The step by step process I got from Rennlist including a very nice diagram.
I had great help from my son to line things up (the tips) spreading the tip clamps, etc...
I used two screw drivers to spread the clamps appart (X through the holes)

General instructions

1. loosen up and slide the cat convertor clamp out of the way from muffler pipe
2. Remove the 3 nuts that secure the muffler mount to car (do not take off the mounting hardware until it is all off the car)
3. Remove the muffler w/tip and hanging hardware all as one. Make sure car is jacked up high enouh (wheel just off the ground) and be careful not to damage the tip when sliding it out. It is tough to get out (fender will push out a touch) move back twoards tire and work it down
4.Remove tip and hardware and install them on new muffler after it is out

Keep clamps loose on tips so ou can do final adjustments. Better to do one at a time so you can match the tip.
New mufflers go on much easier, less weight for one and jusyt a touch thiner

Danny (GMP) is the guy I bought them from, ext 255 (1-888-488-2028). I will call him on Monday as he was requesting I do so to let him know how I like them. I will mention he might get a call...

Did not remove rear bumper or tires and found it to be no issue/problem. You do have to jack the rear up to drop them down and install the new ones

My previous thread as a link w/diagram and some steps. Not many steps, 3 bolts per muffler after the cat clamp is out of the way. Then just rotate out and down pushing it against the inside of the fender, you got to work it a bit....

Some say it is easier to do all this by removing the bumper for the room. I dd not feel the need to do so or felt like dealing with it even if it took me an extra hour or so.
No issues for me, jack it up and go for it
