New Owner ...
Just purchased an '01 996, triptronic, black, 10K miles. Still getting used to the beast (first automatic transmission I've had in the 19 years I've been driving).

Well, thanks for implying it was a bad decision. I had several reasons for doing so, but don't think it's worth validating on an internet forum to a complete - and obviously judgmental - stranger.
