Powder coat my wheels. how long does it take?

And anybody done it in the Miami vicinity? Cost?

I don't think that I can be too long without my car!

I asked about this a while back and one of the wheel vendors here talked me out of it. Told how bad it is for the wheel. Painting is a much better option, apparently.

It depends on what temperature they do the powdercoating at. Try to find someone who powdercoats at a lower temp...

here's a link to another thread that talks about the negatives of powdercoating

with that being said, I had my wheels powdercoated instead of painted.

With the low temp my wheels were powdercoated, the tensile strength was not affected. But yes, there will be some controversial topics in regards to this matter. Painting has more color choices as far as color matching. Then again, powdercoating is much stronger and durable.
Even with my hollow spoke wheels, the powedercoating vendor I used was very successful and knew what they were doing. I recommend to anyone.

I just had mine done. It took a week and was $450 to have 2 done...the other two were done when I bought them.
