Fun time with a 360 coupe last night...

a very close friend has a 360 coupe, same red as my C4S. Roads were not crowded, and that beast needed to stretch her legs.

So we took 'em out for a jaunt around town. What a blast!

I took the lead a few times, then slowed, the 360 blew by and I followed, back and forth down a few open stretches, no traffic.

That car has some really gorgeous lines to see alongside you, and from behind as well. But remarkably, I did not see much of the rear.

Oh yeah, and the sound from that thing revving on a downshift sounds like an F-15. Whoa!

A few years ago I drove a friend's 360 Modena F1 with Tubi exhaust. Wow! As you say, the downshift rev match blipping with the F1 transmission is just awesome, and even more so with the Tubi.

Then I drove his Z8 and M3 cab. The Z8 was great, but not as emotionally engaging as the 360. There's just something about the mechanical sounds of a Ferrari. The M3 (6 speed--SMG hadn't been released yet) was a big letdown after the first 2...

I posted this in the OT forum. Here's a video of me on the autobahn last year in a 360 Spider hitting top speed of 290KPH:

It's still the best car I've ever driven.

Here's a video my freind took after I had the Fuch's exhaust installed. I have put over 4000 miles on the 360 and it still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.
