Thanks for the opinions guys! I wasn't even really considering the 997 4s until now. I think I'll try to wait a bit and test drive each until I can come up with a preference. I'm still thinking that the difference in price between the 996 C4s and 997 C4s plus tax (gotta pay all the 7.75% tax even on a trade-in in cali) would really make me think twice about just going to a 997 C4s unless it is a big upgrade.

Ben,

You are correct. Just confirmed the widebody narrow body specs. The 997 gt3 rs is a widebody, 997c4 and 997c4s are both widebodies. The 997 and the 997s are narrow bodies.

Sorry for the inaccurracy of my previous post.

For me 996TT because of the reasons you stated, but you should drive em all & go w/your gut!

IMHO, rear end on the 996 C4S is reason enough to keep it. only reason to go for the extra hp is if you intend to track the new car.

I think the 996 looks better than the 7. The headlights on the 7 are ugly to me. I would also wait for the 998 but you are going to be getting any deals on that.

996 TT could be my next upgrade but at GT3 is a close contender. Right now my C4S is hitting the spot.

The C4S is a keeper in my book.
