Thumbs up M&K mufflers

Hello -

I've been lurking a while and have enjoyed the conversations here.

I had Fabspeed mufflers on my '99 996, but felt they didn't really give much more tone that stock, so I set out to find more agressive sounding mufflers.

Based on all the posts and sound clips here, I chose to give Ben Mcfarland at M&K a ring.

Ben truly rolled out the red carpet. I can't say enough good.

I received the mufflers about three weeks ago, threw them on, I absolutely love them. The sound is fantastic. They are VERY agressive, but absolutely livable in the cabin. I have bluetooth setup in the car through the stereo headunit and have no problem maintaining conversations. In three weeks on the phone all the time, I haven't had one person complain on the phone.

From behind the car though, WOW!

I really would like to publicly thank Ben and M&K for taking care of me. Love the mufflers.

Thanks for all the good info on this site. You all helped me make a decision and my car's better for it.

I've got a set of M&K's in the garage waiting to be installed. Working with Ben is really great. He is a true enthusiast and produces what appears to be a great product. I can't wait to hear them!
Steve - the factory tips will fit.

Yes, the stock tips fit, although I used the Schnell Turbo type dual tips. Love them as well. I really can't say enough good about Ben and these mufflers.

John are they sold unfinished (website pic) or finished/polished? How do they compare to the ZTeks/AP you replaced?

Mine came with a nice brushed finish. Polished or "raw" are both options from what I know.
