New 996 Cab owner - engine heat

Hi,
After spending countless hours reviewing posts on the forum and itching to own my first porsche, I finally bought a 2003 cab a few days ago. I'll post some pics soon....still too excited with driving the car, and can't get the grin off my face!!

One thing I noticed tho' is that the car radiates a lot more heat when parked in my garage compared to my Z3 2.8....even after a slow 15 minute cruise. Is this normal?

Heats good in the winter but sucks in the summer. sometimes I just open the hood and let it cool off before shutting my garage. just something i do but not mandatory.

Your temp guage should be right about in the middle between the "8" and "0" of the 180. Quite normal for the fan to also run for a while after you turn off the car.
