Ordered side and rear skirts from Precision Porsche
Ordered side and rear skirts from Precision Porsche
If you were wondering what my absolutely favorite 911 look is here it is:

Right now, I've got the front spoiler and rear spoiler kitted up, but was never happy with the side and lower rear bumper. I painted the lower trim, but it was just a temporary/band-aid solution. I'm a stickler for proportions. 5'5" w/ dimples, 110lbs, wifey potential.
Today, I sent some cash to Tony @ Precision Porsche to hook me up with some Techart replica pieces. Thx to FLY996 and iLLM3 for sharing their thoughts on Precision Porsche and Tony along the customer service, fitment, and quality front. FYI, Techart authentic parts total ~$3500. Precision Porsche is charging me less than $1000 shipped. I plan on taking it to my trusty local shop to get it all prepped and installed right. I hope to not run into any surprises. I'll blog out my experience/updates here: the good, the bad, the ugly like only Ben Choi know how to do it.
For now, here's what they look like on what I feel is the best looking 911 I've ever seen from another sweet angle:

A shout out to my boy Peter @ Wheelexperts. I will buy a set of wheels from you someday.
Here's my car as-is today. I'll update with installed pics in a week or two.

i'd rather use that money for the next ride which i'm not even thinking about right now obviously.
i saw the c4s/turbo factory lip coupled with the techart sides and it looked pretty good... good enough for me to pull the trigger.

always good to trade notes with ya, bud.

your ride right now still looks reall nice.... but a little tame looking compared to the one you really want it to look like......will you really be happy without that ta front? to me that really throws in that MEAN look
doc, given the red c4s above, i think i'll be completely fine... at least $10K lighter in the wallet for it.
i've been happy with my current look for a year now even though all this time i was never happy with just the painted lowers since the sides have some curvature to it. i'm big on proportions and balance so i'm finally going to address it thx to kenny4s from renntech who did it up and showed me some evidence that it does look great (red c4s above).
if i had a 997 GT3, heck i'd even throw the techart sides on that car, but given this is my first 911 and hoping for many more cool rides in the future to dink around with, i think i'll be completely happy with my stock front bumper with the aero lip + sides and rears now. but i do get what you're saying. ideal world, my 911 would look just like the 911 from wheelexperts except i'd just shove my work wheels on it instead.
ideal world right now i'd have an CGT on some custom 20" BBS LMs.
when does it stop?
i gotta draw the line somewhere. $10Gs is a nice trip to brazil which i am going on along with a few jaunts to LA (mondrian) and South Beach (delano) with friends. gotta balance my life out a bit.
i'm also only making this public on 6speed because i wasn't able to come up with any testimonial threads on precision porsche parts or techart reps in general. i hope things go well so that in the future should someone not want to spend $4Gs on techart skirts, this may well be a viable alternative for something that no one ever is going to know or care whether they're real or not so long as they fit/look good.
so far, tony's customer service has been great.

You know me well, Joel.
I'm planning on being in South Beach in July. Saw some nice F-cars there a few months ago.
