996 information

First i would like to say this is a great forum and i have enjoyed and learned from a lot of the threads posted here (even though i may not post a response to them)

k now off to the questions lol. i tried searching but couldnt find a clear cut answer for my question

first does the 996 c2 (2002+ if it matter) come with a real LSD system? meaning not lsd simulated by brakes

second does it come with a getrag transmission for the 6 speed tranny?

sorry if these questions are newbie but i gotta learn somehow

Thanks

dgray996 is infamous around these parts
The option for 996 is PSM (Porsche Stability Management) and is computerized anti-skid technology.

I believe the LSD was an option on C2 cars. Don't know about the gearbox - maybe its an Aisin?

so it's basically like the same system that the bmw 135i uses? the brakes simulate a LSD. i thought they would have real LSDs since everyone would say that if a cayman had an LSD it would outhandle the 996, so i guess the cayman isnt the only one without LSD in the porsche lineup
