Buddy hit curb -- 295/30/19 too big for 99' C2?

Hi all,

Well a buddy hit a curb with my pcar and took a chunk out of sidewall. Currently car came with 275/30/19 on 19"x11" rims. The 275s definatly are pulled back from edge of rim.

I am wondering if the 295s would be too much rubber for my 99'. I have 235/35/19 on front which I will not swapping soon. Would they be ok or should they go to 245s?

Any help on this would be great since he wants to buy me new rears ASAP.

Thanks,
Ben

Nice car! What's the width and offset of your rim? What size tire are you running up front? Has the front to rear tire diameter ratio changed and affected your abs and traction control?

I have 295/30/19s but I'm not sure of the offset, I would imagine you could add a little rubber after seeing your wheels. More grip is awesome! An 11" rim should fit that, do you know the offset or what wheels you have on there?

I have noticed no negative impacts due to the size. I will check the front size when I get home... I do not know the offset, I bought the whole setup.

They may fit (or may not). It depends on your wheels. What are your offsets?

had a rub issue with my '00 C2 with iforged 19"s with mich 295 ps2s since the sidewall is a little taller than pzeros, so went down to a 275, but no rim protection. Went back to 295 wheel/tire combo on my 02 and no issue.

The offset of the wheel will determine if they will rub. However, a 295/30 is a little taller than the OE spec.
