I agree. They look great, but there is a reason that the factory emblem is riveted in. If (hopefully never) the airbag deploys, I do not want a metal or plastic pointy projectile heading for my face, just my .02.

the embroidered crest is not a good solution because it looks terrible.

Came with the Boxster S.
I ordered a new silver crest airbag from Sunset Imports. About $450 but it's slightly better than the Boxster S becuase the airbag is leather where the Boxster S isn't (don't know if it was an option).

) but all in all not bad for the price...for me it's worth it because it matches better with the red gauge rings...I do have the real deal on the hood
