Should I MKII Aero Kit my Targa?

Hello Folks,

I haven't been on in awhile and wanted to gather people's opinion on what I wanted to do with my Targa's makeovers.

So this is what she looks like today:

In the last few months I acquired the following but haven't had a chance to get them installed and painted yet.
OEM 996 MKII Aero Kit Decklid and wing (GT3 look)

At first I was all gung ho about getting this done, but now I'm debating to just go with the GT3 CUP front bumper and keep the existing carrera wing I have on the Targa now. What should I do? Just go with the original plan and install both? Do you guys think the car would look akward or a bit out of place with just the CUP front bumper and just the carrera wing?

Let me know what you guys think and thanks in advance!

Great looking Targa already however, would look unique and cool if you did both. OEM pieces?

Definitely without a doubt...do both. The cup bumper is made to flow with the GT3 wing. They compliment each other aerodynamically. It also looks better IMO. And FYI, the cup front bumper is a little different than the GT3RS bumper. The 3 front vents are shaped a little differently and the angle of the front splitter may be a little different. Can you tell us where you bought (or plan on buying) the GT3 wing and Cup front bumper?

All parts are OEM. I got the front bumper from GMG and the decklid and wing from a private party.

both of y'all need some better wheels. now that i look at it, i'd actually tell you to spend money on better wheels because in some weird way i actually like that wing you got on now.

what's weird II is you have the mk1 sideskirt but you have an mk2 carrera?

I actually like the modulare's I have on. Yeah my buddy pointed out to me that my lines won't match with the MKII bumper. When I bought the car, it came with the MKI sideskirts.. so that'll probably be another expense for me. The MKII Sideskirts look a bit more aggressive..which I like.

Fikse Chroma, HRE P90, Champion RG5... you can get these in black centers, too.

I think the lobster 997 wheels are one of the ugliest wheels offered by Porsche (again, no offense, just stating it as I see it).

You have such a beautifully setup 996, but it just gets ruined by the wheels.
