New front bumper advice
Jenner:
Sorry. I thought my and Don's previous posts would cover everything you need to know about this mod. That's why I suggested the seach
As far as DIY, only you can answer that. Depends on your skills. Personally this one looks like more work that it's worth if you decide to cut. I think I paid $500 to have mine painted and installed, which obviously included the cutting. You could paint it as Dave suggested, but he's the only one I've heard of actually not cutting it.
You can reuse the stock ducts. However, they do look a little weird if someone wants to be picky. I got a set of turbos ducts with bumper and just kept the stocks. They show through more than the turbos but it doesn't bother me. I wanted to keep the install as simple as possible (ie labor costs down).
Headlights are the same from 02-on.
Put a WTB post in the For sale section. You'll get plenty of PM's. AMGETR has one for sale right now. Speed yellow though. He is in Miami.
One other thing, the bottom of the turbo bumper does not line up with the three stock mounting points on the bottom. The dealer did mine and did not connect them. They said those points were overkill anyway and that bumper was secure the way it was. Some people have posted that they zip tied them or fabricated brackets. Totally up to you.

what was the outcome...dont bend and do the trubo front to save $ do it because you love it personally all the trubo owners should do the gt2 nose i hate the trubo nose it make the car look heavy especially on a narrow body car!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have 2 letters for you
RS RS RS RS
RS RS RS RS
Marc, I noticed this on Carnewal's site:
P96 GT3 Rennsport Front Bumper Cover
All the parts needed to change the front bumper cover of the '04GT3 into the GT3 Rennsport version.
This an upgrade kit will only fit the '04 GT3 or Aerokit Cup II .
Anyone know what the difference between the '04 GT3 or Aerokit Cup II car and my '03 C2 would be that prevents this from fitting?

Jenner - What you want to do is a very personal thing. I don't think it would look good and always think that someone is trying to be something their not. However, if you like it then go for it.
Personally, I think the way you car looks now is very nice, very clean and has the right look. Hopefully soon I can put the same kit on mine.
Good luck!

Hey Nick, what's up?! Thanks for the compliment!
With the Turbo bumper is it trying to be something it's not? It is offered on the 40th anniv. Or is a 996 C2 with aerokit II trying to look like a GT3 when it comes from the factory that way? I don't think so, but I can see how others might. I would never add a turbo badge or GT3 badge as I'm not about that.
I'm thinking the GT3 RS bumper will end up being too expensive and possibly a complicated install for too little an upgrade . It's only got three more holes than the GT3 bumper!
Now I'm thinking that if I can find a Turbo bumper for the right price I might go that route. Marc got me thinking about the RS bumper since I've only seen one C2 so far with it on.
I've loved the look of the 40th since I saw it, but I don't want to be a poser in a narrow body "turbo look wanna be", but personally I don't care for the C2 front end, it looks like a frog to me at certain angles for some reason!
Not sure what you are running for suspension but if you change it get the X74! I love it!

I want to know about a lip as well, the RS is an expensive option and can definitly be done I have spoken to Champion and my body shop about it however a lower lip that did not look cheesy would be nice, I agree dont try to be a poser however remeber the Aerokit is not only for the GT3 it comes on a std Carrera as an option and was very popular on MY01 and prior Carrera Coupes...LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU DO...AND CHECK YOUR PM'S I SENT YOU ONE WITH OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT UPGRADES U HAVE DONE
their stuff is excellent quality. i can't remember how to spell it. it's ociarri or something like that. they make my sport seat retrofit kit. i am very please with the fit and finish. i hadn't heard of them until i bought that seat kit. the installer gave me a catalog. they make a lot of cool stuff for mostly euro and some japanse cars.

Again, it's just a personal thing. I'm not a fan of the turbo bumper, even on the turbo. I love the clean lines of the GT3 and even though I'm not a big spoiler fan, I do like that particular style. I'm just not sure I would actually get it put on my car. Again, it's what I like.
Do what you like and what you think looks good to you. After all, it's YOUR car and not ours. And yeah, I know you would never pimp the decals/badges that way. I wouldn't either as that's just asking to be called a poser.
I'm not sure if I'm going to get the ROW030 or the X74. I do track my car and I do enjoy driving the car. I'm scared to death to get a suspension that is too low for the Houston SUCK *** roads and a suspension that will beat me to death.
Currently I have the stock suspension with 18" Kinesis Supercups.
