Ebay Germany and I just bought this Bose subwoofer for the back deck. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? I've never seen one before.

Do you have any pictures of how it sits and looks mounted? What year is your 996?

I have an 02 C4S. I'll post up a pic for you later on. It fits perfectly flush behind the back seats.

I have them too. Not too much of a difference from a stock stereo though IMO. you're better off just getting an aftermarket one. I think they come with all C4S' with the Bose systems

i have the same one- it looks great and sounds very good for a factory sub. keep in mind these drivers may use a specific ohm load, and they are meant to be driven by the bose amp.

I recall seeing an article online where a custom stereo shop replaced the internal woofers with Focal subs, used a regular amp, and it rocked.

You 100% need to change the subs if you want to run it with an after market amp, the OEM subs run at 1 ohm. I changed the ones in my Turbo to the focals...

Thanks RobGar. I'll look into it. Man that is a sweet system you have there. The install is super clean. Very nice.
